Buy the wrong size and you'll end up with a baggy tent or a sweater that won't go over the head. This guide gives you the exact sizing answer, what fits what, and how to measure your doll before you shop.
The Short Answer
A 20cm doll wears clothing labeled "20cm" or "8in" (8 inches). That's the standard size used across the plush doll clothing world, and it's what we use for our entire 20cm Doll Clothes collection.
20cm clothing is designed for dolls that are:
- About 8 inches (20 cm) tall from head to toe
- Plush or soft-bodied (stuffed, squishy, huggable β not hard plastic joints)
- Either "fat body" or "normal body" β most of our 20cm pieces fit both
Which Dolls Can Wear 20cm Clothes?
This is where it gets fun β 20cm clothing is surprisingly versatile. It generally fits:
- 20cm plush dolls (the standard β any 20cm stuffed animal with arms and legs)
- 20cm cute-style dolls such as Labubu-style plush figures around 17β20cm tall and Skzoo plush companions in the 20cm size
- 8-inch stuffed animals (bears, bunnies, cats, etc.) with standard plush proportions
- Some 1/8-scale dolls β because a 20cm doll is close to 1/8 scale, certain slim 1/8 BJD bodies can borrow 20cm tops and accessories, though body proportions vary
Two things to check before buying:
1. Height β measure from the top of the head to the bottom of the feet. 20cm clothes need a doll that's roughly 18β22cm (7β9 in) tall. 2. Body shape β "fat body" dolls are rounder and stubbier; "normal body" dolls are slimmer. Almost all of our 20cm items are cut to fit both, but if your doll is unusually chubby or extra slim, check the product description for the note "(fat body and normal body of the doll can wear)."
How to Measure Your Doll in 60 Seconds
Don't guess β measure. You only need a soft tape measure (or a piece of string + a ruler):

Most 20cm clothing has a little stretch (elastic waists, open backs, velcro or button closures), so you don't need a perfect match β just make sure your doll's chest and height fall inside the ranges above.
What NOT to Buy
Size confusion usually happens in three directions:
- 10cm or 15cm clothes are too small. A 10cm outfit will barely cover a 20cm doll's chest, and a 15cm set will leave the sleeves and legs comically short. Keep tiny clothes for tiny dolls.
- 40cm clothes are too big. 40cm (16-inch) outfits will swallow a 20cm doll like a blanket. Those belong to cuddle-size plush.
- "One size fits all" listings without a centimeter label are a gamble. If a listing doesn't state 20cm or 8in anywhere, message the seller or skip it β plush doll clothing is not actually one-size-fits-all.
When in doubt, remember the golden rule: 20cm doll β look for 20cm or 8in on the label.
